Brain Innovation Days: Pitch Competition Finalists Announced

The Brain Innovation Days team is excited to announce the Pitch Competition Finalists of the 3rd Brain Innovation Days Pitch Competition, to be held on 27 October at 14:00– 15:00. The Pitch Competition will take place during the second day of the Brain Innovation Days event, that falls under the theme “The Brain in the 21st Century”,  centred around building resilience and better brain health for future generations and increasing our brains’ readiness to adapt to an ever-changing environment.

After a pre-selection of applications from European start-ups working in the brain space, the 5 finalists will pitch their idea or product to the jury and the public in 180 seconds

  • Neurolentech was founded in late 2020 as a spin-out from IST Austria to identify new treatments for neurodevelopmental disorders. They use the latest scientific laboratory techniques to develop patient-derived neuronal cell models that give us insights into the molecular mechanisms of disease. They use these insights to develop new potential treatments in close partnership with biopharma companies.
  • Axinesis helps patients with motor and cognitive disorders achieve faster recovery and return to social participation with intensive, functional and motivational therapy. The easy to use and highly engaging neurorehabilitation devices ensure patients receive the amount and intensity of therapy required to drive neuroplasticity and functional recovery.
  • BRIGHTMIND.AI is a developer of neuromodulation technology with the goal of creating better brain health solutions. The company uses artificial intelligence to send personalized stimulation to an individual’s brain wave oscillations and directly measures biofeedback to continuously improve the efficacy of therapies to the central nervous system, allowing users to track continuous learning cycles and proprietary designs of an effective brain recording stimulation technique.
  • Syntropic is developing a revolutionary new mental health therapy that does not require the use of medications or invasive procedures. The Syntropic therapy replicates the effects of some exisiting medications without the associated side effects.
  • MindAhead created an AI-powered tool for early detection and therapy, combatting dementia and improving lives.

At the end of their presentation, the jury – composed of highly regarded specialists in the fields of brain science, investment, start-up acceleration – will have a chance to further test the resilience of the finalists’ pitches with swift 60-seconds rounds of Q&A.

The finalist needn’t only impress the jury, however – your vote counts too! Vote for your favourite finalist on the event platform and help them win the Public Award for Best Pitch. Voting opens the morning of the event – stay tuned on our social media channels for further details.
